A very gracious friend lent me her vehicle yesterday, and I went on a shopping spree. Holy Smokes, was I worn out when I got done. I went to Rite Aid, Kmart, the bank (which was closed since it was Columbus Day), Rite Aid again, the library, the local orchard (which was also closed), the garden, Wal-Mart, JoAnn Fabrics, Value World (resale shop), JCPenney, Aveda, the gas station, and finally home.
But I was able to snag a few good deals. Here's a few of them.
This is my Rite Aid bounty. All of them items shown, except for the popcorn ball (filler item), were free after rebate. It cost me $46.07, $26.60 of which I paid from last month's rebate check. My OOP (out-of-pocket) cost was $20.47, but I will be getting back $54.89.
So this Rite Aid trip was a $8.82 money maker.
JoAnn Fabrics was having a Columbus Day sale, so I paid $7.17 for this stuff. Simplicity patterns were $.99 each, and I used a 50% coupon to get the scissors for $2, and the notions wall was BOGO, so I paid $1.79 for Ezy-Pul Bodkin and the bobbins for my machine.
I paid $3.94 for the food pictured above. You'll have to imagine the other bag of Nut Clusters that I bought, because I gave them away before I was able to get a picture. The 'nanas were $.38/lb, the applesauce was $1.54, and I used a $1 coupon, and the Nut Clusters were $2.38 each, and I used (3) $1.60 coupons that I had. The Nut Clusters are so yummy! The 2nd bag in this picture is really an EMPTY bag, because Ben and I polished them off on the way home last night! I guess you could say we were hungry.
