Do you work outside the home? Or do you just work within the confines of your home? I have been a stay-at-home wife and mom for a year and eight months now, and I don't miss my "business career" at all. Not even a teensy-weensy bit. Except for the money. But I'm OK with that, because I'm making something much better than cash. I'm making memories and a home, and helping to raise my little girl, not paying someone else to do it.
That said, I do work a little here and there and that helps to earn a little moolah. Currently, my "jobs" include cleaning two buildings once a week, 6 piano students, and in a very small way, blogging. I also use coupons (as if you didn't know!) to save the money that we do have.
I have also started doing paid emails and surveys through Inbox Dollars. You will not get rich, slow or fast, with this program, but you will earn cold, hard cash. I have spent no more than 15-30 minutes on this program in the last 4-5 months, and I have made $16 so far. You will get a $5 bonus just for signing up with them!
A similar site I have joined up with is MyPoints. It is identical in concept to Inbox Dollars, except that you earn points, not cash, which can then be redeemed for prizes.
I also use Swagbucks as my default search engine. Swagbucks is a search engine powered by Google and Ask, but the amazing part is that you randomly earn "bucks" or points for the searches you already do. These swagbucks can then be used in their online store to redeem prizes, such as gift cards, electronics, and more.
Since I started using Swagbucks back in August, I have earned 118 swagbucks. I have used my bucks to redeem(2) $5 Amazon.com gift cards, and I am close to earning another one! Now considering that it required no extra effort or time on my part, I think that is pretty good income! If you aren't already using it, sign up for Swagbucks here!

Hiya - I came over from PW - I'm a left handed crocheter too. Just wanted to say yay - go hookers!
Thanks for sharing, it's nice to here of alternative ways to earn money that actually work for real people. . .sometimes hard to sort out the scams from the real opportunities. ..
I do Swagbucks too, and love it!!! Have gotten maybe 6 $5 Amazon gift cards through no real effort, just regular internet use and searching for the bonus codes when I can. Doesn't sound like much but considering you can use Amazon GC on the alternate sellers (the "new and used" listings next to the brand new Amazon stuff -- like ebay or half.com), I've gotten several DVDs in wrapper for Christmas gifts for VERY cheap. Plus once in a while get a used DVD for a treat for myself. It's a nice little bonus!
