Grocery Budget 10/25-10/31

As usual, I made my Sunday night run for SOMETHING.  This time it was crackers (for crackers and cheese snack) and a newspaper.  The insert is all I care about, so I pitched the rest before I remembered to take a picture.  I paid $3.50 for this.

This was my Monday night run to CVS.  I paid $3.95 for all of the pictured items after using $7 in ECB, but I got back $15 in ECB. Not bad.  If I had been thinking, I would have used my gift card that I received for bringing a new Rx there, but I forgot.

Tuesday night I couldn't resist the allure of more free Tomato soup and the threat of an expiring $5 ECB, so I made another run to CVS.  I paid 22 cents for all of this, after using up my $5 ECB.  I love that!

I also stopped by Giant Eagle to grab some sales.  I paid $18.80 for all of the pictured items!  My receipt said 71% savings!  This was not inflated by any catalina coupons.  This was a straight coupons-from-the-paper-and-internet type deal.  The Steamfresh meals were on sale for $5.99, and I used the BOGO coupons from the paper to score a usually $8.49 product for $2.98 each.  This will be nice on evenings when we're in a rush, as they are healthful and only takes 10 minutes in the microwave to heat.  Actually, one of the Steamfresh meals is missing because we ate one before I took the picture!  The cookie sheet was free with the purchase of 4 Betty Crocker items!

I couldn't pass up the free cookie sheet deal again, so I went to GE again on Wednesday.  I paid $5.56, saving 76% according to my receipt! The L'oreal Kid's Shampoo was only $.09, after the sale and coupons.  The cookie mixes were $.20, and the cookie sheet was free with the cookie mixes. The peanut butter was $1.20, the margarine $.75, the bread was $1.50.

My grand total was $32.03, making our monthly grocery spending just $163.19!  I was $36.81 underbudget!!

Hey April have you tried to buy the paper the next day,its cheaper (some places sell them for 75 cents)! Also, the library gives them out for free in my area.
