Semi-Homemade Cheesy Italian Crescent Rolls

Last night, in a fit of inspiration, I gave our crescent rolls a little pizzazz.
First, I cut a mozzarella snack stick in half lengthwise, and then in half widthwise.  Placing it at the wide end of the store-bought crescent rolls, I rolled them up as directed on the package.  I would recommend pinching the ends together, so the melted cheese does not escape all over your pan.  I'd also suggest covering your pan with aluminum foil as well, just in case you have any melted cheese that does escape.

Then I sprinkled a tad of Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese on top and cooked as the package originally indicated.

They were yummy with spaghetti and broccoli dinner!

What a tidy surprise waiting in that roll! Oh, I can think of several ways of doing this -- Laughing Cow's herbed Swiss would do well, too. A bit of sharp cheddar, too. Wouldn't they do well with a cup of soup? Now, if we could just get our temperature down to where it really felt like fall....

These would be heavenly to bite into. There's just nothing like melted cheese to make you happy.
