I love this dress. As in, I've loved it for over a year; I have it bookmarked on my computer; I have bought 3 patterns with the hopes of meshing them into this look. Ben offered to buy it for me last Christmas, but I couldn't bear the thought of paying $60 for one item of clothing. I keep hoping it will go on sale, but nope, never. Not even a good coupon code or free shipping. Nada.
What are your thoughts? Would you spend that much for a dress or other piece of clothing you really loved? Who knows...I might give in and ask for it this year!

It is a classic style, which means it could last for several years -- could be one reason it doesn't go on sale, there's no incentive for the company to lower the price. What would you pay for one season? How many seasons will this one dress provide? Does that constitute being frugal? Only you can decide (but I really like the dress!)
I say you should buy it. I'm a big believer in spending money on something that you KNOW will get used over and over again. I bought a $70 skirt once and literally wore it out. While working at the school, I probably wore it 3-4 times per week and then for years after that wore it once or twice a week to church. It greatly paid for itself and I wish I still had it. :)
If you REALLY love it and keep thinking about it and keep checking on it, then I say buy it. Chances are if you really love an item of clothing, you will wear again and again. And PS- this is an amazing dress. Where is it? lol
Definately go for it! It is your job to be frugal for your husband, but if he is wanting to get it for you, let him do it! Everyone needs to get something extra special every now and again! Plus, husbands have to say no more often than they get to say yes, so I'd let him get it! =0)
Go.for.it. Mainly because I can tell my husband that you did it so now I can buy a dress for just about the same price that I have had my eye on!!!! (wink wink) Though I must say, you could so make this!
