Ya know that favorite jean skirt that you wear every other day around the house? The one that feels like your second skin. I have one too. Unfortunately, by the time it's all worn in, it looks all worn out.
I was looking at the fabric dye recently, and I had a lightbulb moment. They have denim blue dye. You know where I'm going with this, right?!
So, I braved it, bought a bottle (at Wal-Mart in the laundry aisle for $2.34), and proceeded to dye my favorite skirt back to new again.

I bought liquid Rit and followed the directions from here. Super easy, super fast! Love the results. It's not the exact color of fresh new jean, but close enough that I'm not concerned about it.
This is also a great idea if you have a pair of jeans or jean skirt that has that goofy washed-out-only-on-the-thigh look but fits nicely.
What do you think?

I've been thinking that I really need to do this with a couple of my jean skirts. Glad to know that it worked for you! :) Now it's my turn to try it...
