This was Giant Eagle run #1. The above cost me $4.73. The 15 Powerade netted me $.09 towards the purchase of the bananas ($1.33) and juice ($3.49).
Giant Eagle had a sweet little catalina deal running with their Dole fruit, so I picked up all of the above for $14.94. I used $14 in catalinas, and I picked up $6 more in catalinas.

A friend took me to the West Side Market. It is a really neat quasi-outdoor food market. I had a really great time! The market has a definite European flavor, with vendors vying for your attention offering everything from meat, pastry, cheese and breads, to exotic, as well as ordinary, fruits and vegetables. Many of the vendors were aggressive, shouting and offering samples and discounts to lure your business. I am looking forward to going back. Here's what I got today:
Giant Pineapple $3
Apples (4) $2.50
Italian Sausage (1.67 lb) $3.13
Cubed Steak (1 lb.) $3.22
Popcorn (2 bags) $3.25
Strawberries (6 qt.) $5
Red potatoes (10 lb.) $6
Organic baby carrots (1 lb.) $1
Total: $27.10
Weekly Spending: $47.10

Hi, April -
I saw you commented on my blog so I just checked yours out and joined! :) LOVE YOUR DEALS! We have so much in common that way! I just had a great CVS run tonight! If you want to share deals or ideas, I would love to - my email is the-tuckers@windstream.net Hope you're feeling good! I have 5 weeks (or less) to go!! Take care, God bless! ~Mary Tucker
I'm always so impressed by your grocery runs. I love the photos, too :) Sounds like it's going to be a tasty week in your home!
I answered your question about "You should only be healthy" in Hebrew - but in case you don't see it, it's mostly about the tone of voice when the person says it. If they're exasperated and sarcastic (as is usually the case), they're saying "I'd rather tell you to drop dead, but I'll control myself and wish you good health instead!" It's funny :)
