I whipped up these delicious bars this morning, and they are really yummy. And super simple.
Just 6 ingredients!
Chocolate Cheesecake Brownies
Ingredients:
1 box chocolate cake mix
1/2 cup oil
1 egg
1 cup mini chocolate chips
(Filling:)
1 8-oz. bar cream cheese
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
Directions:
- Combine the cake mix, oil, and egg. Set aside 1 cup of this cake mixture for topping. Press the remaining mixture into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes in a 350* oven.
- While the bottom layer is cooking, mix the cream cheese and sugar until combined, then add egg and beat well. Remove pan from oven and pour the cream cheese layer over the top and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle reserved topping and mini chocolate chips over the cream cheese layer. Bake for an additional 18-20 minutes at 350* degrees.
- Remove from oven. Allow the bars to cool before cutting and serving. Makes 15 bars.

Oh my goodness, these brownies look AMAZING!
okay I just gained five pounds looking at these brownies. Mom
I'm a bit confused. "Set aside 1 cup of filling for topping" Does that mean 1 cup of the cake mixture only? That one cup of the mixture and one cup of the chips go over the filling?
Thanks!
